Definition of neurology
Neurology deals with the structure, function and diseases of the nervous system, its therapy and treatment.
This includes:
CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
brain and spinal cord, as well as its surrounding structures and blood vessels
PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
nerves, nerve roots and nerve plexus in the body, including the autonomic nervous system, which regulates the unconscious functions of the body that cannot be controlled voluntarily
MUSCULATURE
this also partly belongs to the speciality of neurology, as it only functions well in interaction with the nerves
